This excellent training module will provide a theoretical background to moving & handling to ensure that care workers understand the reasons, both practical and legal, behind safe moving principles. This module will provide a solid informational backdrop to further moving & handling training. This module is based around a real working care home and includes the potential risks of poor manual handling practice to the health of both care workers and service users.

Building on the lessons learnt in 'Moving & Positioning Theory' this training will help you to deliver practical safe moving principles.

Focusing on the care home setting this module shows staff how to use equipment safely and assist service users in their daily lives. Built around the principles of safe manual handling this title will teach care workers the importance of providing assistance centred around the needs of the service user whether working unaided, as part of a team or with equipment.
