Friendly Office Staff
All our training is provided by our in house trainer Samantha.
The Right Staff

All applicants are interviewed face to face by our HR specialist. They will provide us with a full employment history and professional references covering a minimum of 5 years. We shall then undertake an Enhanced Disclosure (DBS) to ensure they are suitable to work with vulnerable adults and children. Relevant documentation is taken and verified, including eligibility to work in the UK. All staff are booked on a programme of induction training, and issued with an identification badge, staff handbook and a J&K Care Specialists uniform on commencement.

Staff vary in ages, backgrounds and qualifications enabling us to best match personalities with clients as well as the relevant skill set. These range from practical experience to Diplomas (QCF) in Health and Social Care. We value our staff highly, and to help retain them, we offer opportunities for those who have not yet gained nationally recognised qualifications to do so through our partnerships with local training providers.




Training

J&K Care Specialists offer a comprehensive programme of training.  All training is provided by our in-house trainer to ensure all mandatory training is kept up to date.  The training is also available to staff working in Health, Social Care and Voluntary sector. Reviews & client visits

After an initial meeting, the care Coordinator/or Registered Manager will regularly visit the people we support in order to monitor the service.  We understand the importance of getting to know the people we support and staff to best match skills, attitudes and preferences.
Staff Assessment and Appraisal

 All staff are supervised regularly during their employment with J&K Care Specialists.  We shall also ask the people we support to comment on staff that have been provided.  This will be via telephone, care quality assurance forms or at review.  All feedback is appraised and evaluated with action being taken to ensure that our high standards are maintained, giving the people we support and our staff the best possible service.
Code of Conduct

To ensure that our service meets the high quality of care that we expect, all of our care and support staff are given a staff handbook.  This includes a code of conduct to be read and signed by each employee before they begin work.  Topics include: Privacy and Confidentiality, Dignity, and Freedom of Choice, Independence and Integrity, Personal fulfilment and Timekeeping.
Communication

We shall ensure that all staff have adequate information regarding the persons requirements/needs prior to attending their home.  Our experienced and dedicated care coordinators remain in frequent contact with both the people we support and staff so that any additional instructions can be relayed and any potential concerns dealt with immediately.
